As i sit in my window

as i sit in my window
and stare out at the sky
i feel the moments
just passing by

i see cars and bikes
and children on trikes
golden agers shuffling along
leaning on their final legs

i see flocks of birds
returning to roost
yet still i sit
as day concedes to night

i watch the clock
jump leaps and bounds
time flying by
without a sound..
